Classroom Motto: Your ideas matter. Your dreams matter. Your voice matters. You matter.
Kaitlyn is a native Mississippian. She attended the University of Mississippi where she studied public policy, with an emphasis in education policy. Her experiences in undergrad, along with her time interning at the White House, deepened her passion for reducing educational inequities and led to her decision to become a Teach for America corps member.
Kaitlyn continues to teach English II at Clarksdale High School, while pursuing a Master's in Administration and Supervision. For her Social Entrepreneurship Project, she plans to design an experiential learning curriculum that will lead students in thoughtful discourse and new experiences outside of the traditional classroom setting.
Fun Fact: Once, Kaitlyn and Joe Biden fangirled over Mississippi together.
