Sean Brown
Master of Business Administration
Sean Brown was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2010 with a degree in Entertainment Industry and a minor in Business Management. During his TFA commitment he taught 9th and 10th grade English at Forest Hill High School in Jackson, Mississippi. He currently teaches at Reimagine Prep Middle School in Jackson, Mississippi. Sean teaches 7th grade Literacy to the founding scholars of Mississippi’s first charter school. Sean believes that education is the key to opportunity and access. Sean wants to eventually take an administrative role at his school.
While studying at the University of Southern Mississippi he became immersed in spoken word poetry and performance. He has founded the spoken word poetry project, “Forever in Our Words”, at Reimagine Prep. The organization aims to use spoken word poetry to provide a safe engaging atmosphere for students, increase literacy, and to help students unlock the power of their voice. Sean believes that when students and people can access the power of their words, that they in turn hold the keys to transform their communities and lives.
