Stephanie Parkinson is passionate about developing and highlighting the leadership of others.
She is originally from Ligonier, Pennsylvania, and has called Mississippi home since 2008 when she moved to Greenville, MS to teach secondary math after graduating from Cornell University. Stephanie currently lives in Jackson, MS with her husband and three children; Each child’s name has a Mississippi connection. Stephanie currently leads school-based coaching teams at Amplify, a K-12 curriculum and assessment company, focused on collaborating with educators to create rigorous and riveting learning experiences for all students.
Through her Social Entrepreneurship Project, Stephanie aims to establish a state-wide Dolly Parton Imagination Library affiliate. This program would provide young children with a free book each month from birth until their fifth birthday. In addition to providing books, Stephanie hopes to share resources and activities with families and childcare providers that relate to each book a child receives.
